Day 12 - Janathon - still with it!

I have been evaluating my training today and trying to work out if I'm on target with the training programme for the Liverpool Half Marathon!  I was shocked to discover its only 65 days away, and 19 of those are Janathon days, leaving 46 remaining days to compile a suitable training plan to increase my speed! I WILL increase my speed sufficiently to get a PB - if this Janathon running doesn't help me, nothing will!!! My husband said this evening "I don't know what you're stressing about, you'll walk it!!!" lol If I WALK it I certainly won't get the PB I'm craving!!  Hehehehehe!!

It has been a gorgeous bright but cold day and it was a beautiful clear cold evening tonight, perfect for a run!  I didn't even have to do too much persuading to get myself out the house!  I did the ironing, put it away (a job I hate more than ironing!) and then hit the streets - perfect unwinding strategy!  The run was uneventful, and I had no problems with my legs or my blisters (well protected may I add!).  Whilst I was out I saw several other runners and cyclists taking advantage of the unusually dry conditions.  I wonder what they all do when its wet? Vegetate in front of the telly or hit the gym?!!

Anyhow I ran 5.22 miles, not too bad for Day 12!  I might start increasing my mileage by a mile every couple of  days and see what my legs think! I need to be increasing my speed over longer runs!

Average pace: 10.23
Average speed: 5.8 MPH



Total Janathon Running miles:  51.42
Total Janathan Walking miles: 8.1
Total Janathan Cycling miles: 4.2


I set myself a target at the beginning of  this Janathon to run at least 100 miles during the month -  Its day 12 and I'm half way to my target with 51.42 miles!  
If I don't collapse with exhaustion and do keep running everyday I will exceed my goal!!  WHOOHOO!!!
