This morning when I woke up I could really feel my core after last night Pilates class!
Today it has hurt every time I laughed or coughed! Surely that must mean the exercises successfully located my core and woke it up!
I didn't think my body could take any more brutal punishment so tonight I decided to go swimming instead of running.
But it was a Disaster!
I wished I hadn't bothered!
My lap counter on my new Garmin seemed to get confused after about 7 lengths and it seemed to think I had done a super fast couple of lengths and said that I had done an extra one! (If only I could swim that fast!). I only noticed because when I am at the deep end of the pool it should state an odd number and when I am at the shallow end an even number, but this changed totally confusing me!
Then at length 33 my goggles snapped! I tried to mend them but failed and as I wear contact lenses which don't like being under water (they tend to float away!) I had to finish in breast stroke!
I was not happy at all! Consequently I did a lot less lengths than I planned to do! My Garmin stated I had done 39 lengths but once I analysed my swim on Garmin Connect I realised where it had gone wrong and amended it to what I had actually done which was 38 lengths or 950 metres or 0.59 miles!
I was impressed that my Garmin recognised when I changed from Front Crawl to Breast stroke and recorded it correctly! I'm hoping the incorrect lap counting is just a blip and not a regular occurrence!
When I got home I started to look for some new goggles on the internet until I realised you can buy replacement straps.
I have ordered one and I hope it arrives fairly promptly!
