JANATHON 2012

What is a Janathon?
It's a running competition but if you can't or don't want to run every day, you can still join in by cycling, walking, rowing, weights, swimming, jumping in puddles, building snowmen or whatever. Just do something every day in January, however the winner is someone who runs and blogs every day within 24 hours!

RUN EVERY DAY

BLOG EVERY DAY

WHOEVER RUNS THE MOST, WINS*

On January 1st I was browsing the internet for a challenge to do during 2012 when I came across the Janathon, and for some strange reason I seemed to think it was a good idea - I think perhaps my brain was still addled by alcohol after the Christmas and New Year Celebrations!

Anyhow I registered and off I went!  It was a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, ups and downs, positives and negatives but I enjoyed it all  and it got my running legs going after the Christmas break!  It made me run in weather I certainly wouldn't have considered running in before, and gave me the motivation to actually run - no excuses acceptable! I only used a treadmill once during the whole month!

Total Janathon Running miles:  158.36
Total Janathan Walking miles: 40.56
Total Janathan Cycling miles: 4.2



TOTAL JANATHON MILES: 203.12 + 1 Hour Steps Class + 1 Hour Pilates Class 

Longest Run: 9.43 miles

Shortest Run: 3.23 miles

Fastest Run: 9.05 min/mile

Slowest Run: 10.25 min/mile
